Short blog today.
Worked in swimming pool, too hot, too humid. Had kit kat. Went home. Called out. Changed a lamp (light bulb to the uneducated out there). Came home. Watched Germany obliterate Brazil 7 - 1. I thought it'd be 0 - 0.
15 days till sunshine in Turkey.
Fuck my life is interesting.

Bob Geldof isn't always right
This Monday wasn't so bad. Pleasant jobs for pleasant people.
First job I knocked over my drill and smashed customers mug. Sheepishly apologising I offered to pay for the damage and was greeted with a smile and an 'it's alright darling, it wasn't me best china '
Two uni jobs flew by, met two pleasant lads who were pleased with a break from study to have a chat while we worked.
Last job was a goodun. Two Irish ladies in their twilight years being very overly suggestive and then breaking into fits of giggles. Great customers!
So tomorrow should be fun. Office have provided life jacket, diving shoes and bump cap to supervise building a zip up scaffold. In a swimming pool. I do have to provide my own trunks though.

Inspired to blog by Twitterers
Well, haven't blogged for a while, so thought I'd Adrian Mole it for as long as I can be arsed. Starting today.
I am on call out this weekend. My first task at 930 this Sunday morning was to unblock a seized shower pump full of hair and brown sludge. Grim I hear you think, but this was actually a welcome relief as the house was in meltdown because of both cartons of milk in the fridge being off and tea and scrambled eggs had been prepared using said cartons.
Still, the sun is out and later, my dear daughter (who is still stroppy because she stood on a slug with bare feet in the garden yesterday evening) is part of the carnival parade. I'm hoping phone stays silent so I can enjoy the day. Oh, and I'd kill to have a cold beer later, always the way when on call....
